Southbound US23 closed in Summerfield Twp. due to injury accident

SUMMERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (Toledo News Now)- The southbound lanes of US23 are shut down near mile maker 9 in Michigan due to an injury accident.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Friday in Summerfield Township. It is unclear how many vehicles are involved in the accident, or how severe the injures may be.

Fundraiser remembers unsolved murder of 5-year-old girl

MONROE, MI (Toledo News Now)- Four
years ago, 5-year-old Navaeh Buchanan went missing, and was eventually found
murdered. Family and friends gathered Wednesday night to keep her memory alive
and remind the community her killer was never arrested.

Her
family remembers it like it was yesterday. Nevaeh was playing outside her
apartment on May 24, 2009, when she disappeared.
